Let’s spend some time discussing Florida Winter Bug Problems. Life in Florida has a lot of great things to be thankful for. For example, it’s not crazy cold. I was recently talking to a friend who lives up north. He just happened to mention that it was 7 degrees outside. So there is that. Most of us have no question regarding the many reasons why we live in Florida. The wonderful climate is one of them. All that said, let’s talk about a major pest problem.
Termites. The Central Florida area is annually considered one of the most termite infested places in the United States. However, there are still a few things that you can do as a homeowner. Here is one of them. If you have firewood stacked up outside your home, this can be a problem. Please make sure it is not right up against the house. If you can keep the wood away from the structure you will deny the bugs their “gateway” inside. Also, before you bring wood in for the fireplace, inspect it for termites. Better safe than sorry.
