Its population was 26,079 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.”

Should you be a bass fisherman, Lake Tohopekaliga (Lake Toho), is one great destination. OrlandoBass.com says: “The lake is 22,700 acres and is one of the most famous bass lakes in the entire country. Known for constantly producing more big bass than any other lake. The Florida Wildlife Commissions biologists have indicated that there is one bass over ten pounds for every ten acres of lake. Even with the increase in fishing pressure from its fame, Lake Toho continues to produce, with Bassmaster magazine in there issue of top 100 lakes calling Toho ‘the most consistent lake in the country for producing both numbers and Trophy sized bass’. Many big tournaments are held on Toho yearly with the biggest being Bassmasters, MLF, and FLW events.”
